Good corporate governance plays a vital role in underpinning the integrity and the efficiency and effectiveness of an organisation. For Cloughwood, this is assured through its LGB. The LGB is the strategic decision-making body and vision-setter for the Academy. It plays a vital role in ensuring the best possible education for every pupil by creating robust accountability for the Headteacher and the Senior Leadership Team. In the spirit of continuous improvement, the LGB undertakes regular self-evaluation.
The LGB acts in accordance with the Scheme of Delegation agreed by the Trust Board. The scheme sets out what the Trust Board asks the LGB to carry out on its behalf.
